How We Rank
The research, verification and review process behind every Top 10 list.
Every Top 10 list on Singapore Top 10 Lah follows the same process.
1. Research
We identify the established providers in each category using public reviews across several platforms, industry awards and recognition, licensing registers and reputable media coverage.
2. Verify
We check that businesses are registered in Singapore and hold the licences their trade requires, for example EMA licensing for electrical work, PUB licensing for water service plumbing, NEA licensing for pest control and cleaning businesses, and HDB’s Directory of Renovation Contractors for HDB renovation works.
3. Compare
We weigh reputation, years in operation, range of services, pricing transparency, accreditations and customer experience.
4. Review and update
Lists show the date they were last updated. We revise rankings when businesses close, standards slip or new information comes to light.
Featured partners
Some businesses pay for a Featured Partner placement. Featured placements are always labelled so readers can tell them apart. Businesses that do not meet basic standards, such as holding a required licence, are not accepted as Featured Partners.
